What Is the Procedure for Shipments?

When you deliver your equipment directly to our facility, we offer a staging area where the equipment and other packages can be stored at no cost for up to seven business days. After this period, standard storage fees may apply. This area is provided exclusively to support the installation process.

Please note that phoenixNAP does not provide shipping services. You are responsible for ordering, packaging, delivery, and any necessary pickup of your equipment.

How to Provide a Notice or Obtain a Ticket Number

To ensure the security of your equipment or packages, we require a 48-hour notice for any incoming shipments, along with a ticket number. Please notify us of any upcoming deliveries by sending an email to [email protected].

Please include the following information in your notification email to help us handle your equipment efficiently:

Icon Check The expected delivery date of the shipment.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Colocation is a type of hosting that entails renting space, power, cooling, and networking for your servers and IT equipment. Using the services of a colocation provider avoids the management complexities and CapEx investment of building and maintaining an on-prem data center. On the other hand, hosting broadly refers to offering server resources for various kinds of data and applications.

Colocation entails renting data center space, power, cooling, and connectivity. Users house their IT equipment in colocation data centers, and the owner provides the infrastructure resources that improve security, latency, and availability.

The cost of colocation services varies greatly depending on many factors. The most common determinants of colocation costs are:

  • Location of the data center
  • Required space (racks, cabinets, cages)
  • Power needs
  • Bandwidth
  • Connectivity fees
  • Security measures
  • Level of support
