GridFury establishes carrier connectivity in phoenixNAP’s flagship data center

Phoenix, AZ, February 19, 2020 – phoenixNAP®, a global IT services provider offering security-focused cloud infrastructure, dedicated servers, colocation, and specialized Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) technology solutions, announced today the establishment of GridFury internet connectivity at their flagship data center in Phoenix, Arizona. As a data center carrier, GridFury will provide phoenixNAP’s clients with direct access to its highly redundant network at affordable prices.

GridFury’s IP network, originally designed to support the demanding performance and availability requirements of its managed infrastructure customers, will now provide IP transit and DIA (dedicated internet access) options at phoenixNAP from 1 Gbps to 10+10Gbps at highly competitive prices starting under $1,000 per month. With a point of presence in phoenixNAP’s data center, GridFury significantly improves service stability and access options for our data center customers.

“We have been working with GridFury for years and we are excited to welcome it as a carrier to our flagship data center,” said Ian McClarty, president at phoenixNAP. “GridFury has a robust and cost-effective carrier connectivity option, which I believe our clients will find very valuable. We are looking forward to the future expansions of GridFury in the carrier ecosystem.”

With its highly-redundant local and long-haul IP network, including connections to multiple Tier 1 backbones, regional providers, and extensive peering, GridFury aims to provide turnkey connectivity that redefines the relationship between quality and price. GridFury’s IP transit and DIA are currently available from five locations in Arizona and Massachusetts, with phoenixNAP being a strategic location for its future expansion.

As a connectivity hub for Phoenix, phoenixNAP interconnects with all major domestic and international fiber routes. Its carrier-neutral Meet-Me-Room in Phoenix is home to 40 network, bandwidth, and telecommunications carriers at a SOC 1, SOC 2, and PCI certified facility. “Our previous experience with phoenixNAP left no space for doubt that they are the best location for our expansion,” said Jeff Wheelhouse, general manager at GridFury. “The operation at phoenixNAP is world-class, and that’s driven by the quality of their team. We have enormous respect for their people and trust in their expertise, so phoenixNAP was an easy choice to launch this exciting new phase of our business.
