What Is an API Server?

The API server is a tool that allows you to build, manage, and deploy REST APIs. By using the API server, you can configure how to expose the data to the users for the popular file formats and different sources. When you install an API server on your on-premise or cloud server, you can enable local and remote access to the API. Additionally, API servers automatically create endpoints to allow for discovering the list of available resources and their metadata.
