A task or application is CPU bound if its execution time depends on the availability of CPU resources. For most CPU-bound workloads, the CPU is the only component used for task execution.

For a CPU-bound task or application to execute faster, assign additional CPU resources either by pausing other tasks or increasing the speed of the CPU.
